Chief Information Officer
Network engineer, developer, consultant, information systems manager, and Director of Web Services—these are just a few of the hats MLG’s Chief Information Officer, Jim Thornton, has worn throughout his career. As CIO, Jim is responsible for charting and steering MLG’s technological future in a direction that will bring continued success.
Jim’s greatest challenge as CIO is staying ahead of the technology curve—especially when each company in the building has different needs both today and five years down the road. Under Jim’s leadership, MLG’s IT team has redesigned company networks, implemented a new phone system, and improved system processes. But there’s always more work to be done.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jim received his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, before moving to Nashville in 1994. His professional experiences in both traditional and creative settings—as well as in a call center—make him uniquely suited to guide the diverse companies working together under MLG’s roof.
When he’s not at the office, you can find Jim on the links playing golf, jamming out on the piano or guitar, or spending quality time with his kids.
